Mandel AI was born from a moment of frustration. In 2018, our founder Nick Gospodinov was running global supply chain operations for a Fortune 500 retailer and watched a single port disruption cascade into $180M in downstream losses — losses that were entirely preventable with better information and faster decision-making.
Nick assembled a team of supply chain experts and AI researchers and spent a year deeply embedded in logistics operations across three continents. The insight was clear: the data to prevent every major supply chain failure already existed. What was missing was an intelligent system to connect it, interpret it, and act on it fast enough.
In 2019, Mandel AI launched with a single product: a real-time supply chain coordination engine for mid-market retailers. Within 18 months, we expanded to full enterprise coverage, added predictive analytics and autonomous optimization modules, and grew to serve customers across manufacturing, healthcare, and high-tech sectors.
